Anti-Bullying
Anti bullying is a priority focus on a daily basis at Phoenix.
Our link with the national Anti Bullying Quality Mark – UK organisation has allowed us to assess our anti-bullying systems and develop and improve these accordingly. Phoenix has been awarded the prestigious national Anti-Bullying Quality Mark – ABQM-UK.
The ABQM-UK award website states that the "ABQM-UK is a national award that enables schools to demonstrate to parents, OFSTED and others that the safety of children is taken seriously and bullying is not tolerated."
As a school that gains the award you will be able to show that:
- You have a positive, progressive, inclusive ethos
- Everyone in the school community knows that bullying is not accepted or tolerated
- Children and young people come to school without the fear of being bullied
- Parents can feel confident that, should bullying happen, they know who to approach and can be reassured that it is dealt with efficiently and effectively.
We were awarded the Anti-Bullying Quality Mark in 2017 and are working towards the award this academic year 2020/21.
Students as well as staff form part of the improvement of anti-bullying systems within school where our policy and actions include input from the whole school community. We continue to welcome your views and input when it comes to anti-bullying as we believe we can always continue to improve.
If you have any concerns please contact Mrs Wilde, Mr Samuel, your Head of House and/or Pastoral Manager.
