Pearl of Africa Choir Concert

A wonderful night of singing, dancing and drumming at Phoenix - all in aid of the Pearl of Africa charity

Enthusiasm and energy are the key aspects of this childrens choir's performance completed by wonderful talent and a zest for life that made the whole evening a joy to witness (and join in with for some members of the audience)

The choir from Uganda are raising money for their fellow children back home so they can have the chance of a good education - there's a constant  fundraising effort to which Phoenix and particularly the Sixth Form have contributed strongly over the last few years.

There was merchandise for sale, food and refreshments courtesy of said Sixth Form and a feeling of anticipation as the children readied themselves for the nights performance - we weren't dissapointed!

A brilliant show (see the photo gallery link below) completed by members of the audience being invited on stage to join the performance - Phoenix Sixth Form rocks! Or whatever it is you do to African music.....Enjoy yourself!

Here's just a small sample of the energy generated by the choir. Turn up the volume!
